Job Responsibilities:

* Design and implementation of a risk assurance framework covering global transactional and operational taxes together with stakeholders across the business , including Operations and Sales teams, and the Group's advisors;
* The framework is expected to cover the Group's compliance with FATCA, the OECD's Common Reporting Standard, Qualified Intermediary regime, Italian FTT, French FTT, and other operational taxes and duties
* Work with IT and the Front Office teams to develop and implement systems/solutions that improve product/on-boarding experience and become a subject matter expert in this area
* Ensure that the Group's products and services are delivered to clients in a compliant and tax efficient manner, and all client income reporting is compliant with respect to transactional and operational taxes
* Proactively educate all group entities and businesses on their and the Group's obligations with respect to operational taxes, specifically including FATCA, CRS and the QI regime
* Monitor and communicate the impact that changes in legislation might have on the Group in conjunction with the Group's advisors, designing and implementing new processes, controls and reporting where necessary
* Managing the Group's advisors and budget in respect of operational taxes
* Advise on the operational and other tax implications of the rollout of stockbroking to new jurisdictions

Job Requirements:

* Experience of effective governance around operational taxes
* Working knowledge of FATCA and the Qualified Intermediary regime
* Knowledge of the Common Reporting Standard
* Ability to understand and deal with complex issues
* Experience/exposure to the Italian and French FTT (desirable)
* ACA qualified or equivalent
