This US based multinational pharmaceutical group has undergone a period of expansion in the UK and Europe through a mix of organic growth and acquisitions. To underpin this expansion, the finance function of the business is undertaking a significant period of transformation. Through this transformation that now require a specialist US Tax Manager.
Description
Due to the transformation process that the company is undertaking, this is a brand new role designed to take the lead in finance transformation from a tax perspective. The role has a broad range of responsibilities including:
* Take significant part in the development and implementation of tax specific strategy
* Prepare and review annual and quarterly tax returns for subsidiary foreign companies and operations including tax credit calculations
* Proactively identify opportunities in current tax position to make potential savings
* Take lead in implementation of tax strategy for the group with a focus primarily on Subpart F US taxable income as it relates to operations internationally
* Support treasury team in cash management with a tax focus
* Participate in process improvement projects for the team
* Develop relationships with key stakeholders in other departments to business partner to attain greater process improvement
* Ad hoc duties as necessary
Profile
* Professionally qualified CTA/ACA/CA/CPA or other
* Demonstrable technical tax experience as it pertains to US tax issues with outbound experience in particular
* Prior success in finding solutions through complex data
* Project management experience is an advantage
