Senior Accountant

A high profile opportunity has arisen within an industry leader to assume a Senior Associate position within the Financial Controls team. Reporting into the Financial Control Manager, this role will supervise 3 team members who will be responsible for carrying out tasks including tax compliance, statutory reporting and audit, HMTs accounts direction, month end process, finance policies, fixed assets, payroll processes and bank reconciliation.

Key responsibilities will fall under the following key points:
• People management;
• Tax Compliance;
• Consolidated Annual Accounts and Audit;
• Policy Development and Implementation;
• Month-End process.

This is a key role in the team and there is, essentially, a succession plan in place that will see the successful candidate step up to head up the team in due course. As such, they are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 3 years PQE. Candidates must have strong technical knowledge and experience of relevant financial reporting standards i.e. IFRS, as well as preparation of financial statements and dealing with external auditors. The role has a broad finance remit but a focus on tax, including returns and reporting, such as quarterly VAT returns, annual adjustment and EC Sales List, monthly reverse charges calculation and analysis, preparation and review of the corporation tax computation and return.
