Role Summary:

You will be working as part of the team providing tax content for the ONESOURCE direct tax products. Primarily working in the UK team, you will be providing specialist tax guidance and expertise in the development of our core products.
You will work with other specialists on defining tax legislative and practise requirements, design and implementation.
You will be required to delegate and review work of juniors - providing guidance, training and feedback - as well as assisting in establishing timelines and managing progress.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
The main responsibilities will include:
* Translate tax technical and user requirements into the ONESOURCE direct tax products
* Provide tax technical and design recommendations for development and integration into the products.
* Update and make modifications to existing ONESOURCE tax content in accordance with written specifications.
* Delegate to, and manage the work of, junior staff.
* Ensure that changes and enhancements are reviewed and tested fully and accurately, so the products continue to meet quality standards.
* Provide tax technical and product support to the hotline, training and professional services teams.
* Review client issues and enhancement requests, and provide responses and recommendations.
* Provide written and oral guidance and training on using the products.
* Provide coaching and training to junior staff.
* Identify system requirements and changes, and provide requirements to the platform developers.

Key Relationships:

* Provide tax technical and practise guidance to junior staff.
* Delegate work to, manage progress, and review work of junior staff.
Technical /Professional Skills & Competencies:

Essential Skills:

* Experienced tax professional
* Practical experience in UK direct tax compliance
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
* Ability to use own initiative, good attention to detail and time management skills.
* Have an organized and methodical approach to work including the ability to handle multiple tasks

Desired Skills:

* Understanding of UK corporation tax e-filing and XBRL tagging
* Experience in using, and an interest in, tax technology.
* Software systems: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and tax compliance software.
Education/ Certifications: (Specific degrees and/or certifications required or preferred)
* Tax and/or Accountancy qualification
* Educated to degree level
