VAT Manager - Gatwick / Bristol / Guildford/ Reading
Our client is seeking an VAT Manager to join their rapidly expanding Indirect Tax team. As a VAT Manager, you will assume a pivotal role in maintaining and elevating our firm's established VAT service for our diverse clientele.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead manager for key tax and VAT clients, overseeing all facets of client relationships.
- Provide expert advisory guidance to clients on VAT planning, compliance, and dispute resolution with HMRC.
- Cultivate and sustain a robust technical expertise in VAT across various industry sectors.
- Offer internal technical support and training, including the organization and delivery of VAT training courses.
- Collaborate with other departments on VAT-related matters, including audit teams and corporate finance projects.
- Conduct external VAT training courses and deliver presentations at seminars and conferences.
- Contribute to business development efforts through the preparation of articles, participation in networking events, and fostering relationships with industry professionals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CTA would be preferrable but not necessary.
- Possess a strong academic background.
- Demonstrate significant experience in advising on VAT matters.
- Exhibit technical proficiency in all facets of VAT.
- Showcase proven leadership skills in managing both people and client relationships.
- Highlight a track record of successful business development endeavors.
