Supporting the Group Tax Manager global tax affairs for the group, this represents a compelling opportunity for an individual with a direct tax background to gain further experience and develop themselves in a vibrant setting. The role would be suitable for someone making their first move in-house or joining from within a large, listed business to progress their career. We can offer either a South West Office base or this role can be undertaken fully remotely once restrictions are lifted
Supporting the Group Tax Manager in the day to day running of the tax department including taking the lead on ad-hoc projects, you will proactively manage Group tax policies and transfer pricing to ensure a joined up and future-proofed approach. Responsible for implementing appropriate tax governance controls, you will assist with HMRC risk reviews and other international tax audits. You will also manage Group direct tax compliance obligations for multiple jurisdictions, primarily acting as a contact point for external advisors. You can expect to review current transfer pricing policies and be heavily involved in the preparation of Group IFRS tax provisions and FRS 102 tax provisions for the UK statutory accounts.
As a qualified accountant and/or tax accountant (ACA, ACCA, CTA) with post qualification experience in industry or practice (Big Four or leading Mid-Tier environment), you will have deep experience of Corporation Tax and tax accounting together with a broad general awareness of all other taxes. Character wise we are looking for a hands-on, high performing, action-oriented Tax Manager who can build meaningful relationships with peers and the team, influencing team buy-in at all levels of the financial and operational tax strategy.
