Tax Reporting & Technology Manager - FTSE 100

It is expected that the scope of this role will change over time due to a significant number of IT and transformation projects underway. This will provide an excellent development path for building further skills and experience in one of the largest FTSE 100 businesses.

Main Job Purpose and Key Accountabilities

The role will be initially responsible for

* Performing a review and assessment of the way forward on an tax reporting automation project. This project has struggled with software performance issues and the challenges arising from the international breadth of the Group. Taking into account the impact of the first project there is an opportunity to pause and reassess to ensure we implement a robust and efficient tool for group tax reporting. Intention would be to implement any new tool in 2021.

* Leading the direct Tax workstream of the S/4 SCOA project to capture statutory financial information and tax financial information in SAP. The project will facilitate automation of the Group tax reporting process through creation of tax sensitised accounts and posting of tax values in a new tax series in SAP. The project team includes colleagues from Finance, Tax teams in countries, IT and the Business Services organisation and runs in various phases into 2022.
