Manager Financial Reporting (m/f/d)

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Financial Reporting unit processes financial information and prepares it for external addressees, such as the tax authorities, banks and shareholders. The focus is on the documentation and information of business transactions for external report recipients in accordance with IFRS and HGB.
o From day one, you will assume the technical and disciplinary leadership of one of our six teams in the unit with regard to employee management, assessment and development as well as the corresponding resource and budget responsibility.
o You will be responsible for operational service provision and together with your team you will independently prepare financial statements in accordance with HGB for a number of German group companies.
o You will be responsible for the analysis and optimization of processes, while maintaining close relationships with our partners and other departments.
o In close cooperation with the management team and the head of department, you will contribute to the strategic development of the department and support the management of the department through regular reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS
o completed business administration studies with a focus on finance and accounting or commercial training with further training as a certified accountant (IHK)
o several years of experience in finance and accounting and ideally initial professional management experience
o comprehensive knowledge in the field of internal and external accounting as well as national and international accounting
o excellent knowledge of IFRS and HGB and understanding of the interrelationships in the consolidation processes of consolidated financial statements
o very good knowledge of German or English for our international teams, further European language skills are an advantage
