A Global Financial Services group is looking to hire a European Tax Manager to be responsible for all areas of Corporate Tax across Europe. Reporting into the Global Head of Tax in the US, you would be responsible for taking the lead on transactions, M&A activity, compliance, reporting, transfer pricing and general tax advisory work on an ongoing basis.
Responsibilities
* Due diligence on asset acquisitions
* Day to day advice on set up of new trades/new business opportunities for the group including review of contracts to ensure compliance with international tax structure.
* Prepare, manage, and review the group's non-U.S. income tax compliance. Combination of inhouse preparation and outsourcing to Big 4 and other local accounting firms.
* Provide relevant data or inputs to external accounting firm for tax compliance purposes.
* Ensure that all appropriate tax returns and payments are filed in a timely manner.
* Monitor, implement and maintain proper transfer pricing between affiliated entities.
* Participate in the development and implementation of tax strategy.
* Develop tax guidelines, process, and policies for the non-U.S. operation.
* Monitor changes in tax laws as they affect the company's tax liability.
* Provide financial statement reporting support for statutory reporting purposes, including tax provision support and disclosure related information.
* Prepare and provide input to U.S. parent for U.S. financial statement reporting purposes.
Qualifications
* Certified Public Accountant
* 5+ years of experience in accounting including experience specific to financial services industry.
* Corporate Tax Compliance and deal structuring experience required
* Independent thinker and self-starter with developed organisation skills
* Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced trading culture
