This is an exceptional opportunity for an international tax professional to join a prestigious hi-tech manufacturing company. Based in Europe, with some flexibility in terms of the office location, the role will report to the Senior Tax Director and be part of a highly regarded international tax team located throughout the globe.

The Associate Director, European Tax will lead multiple tax projects, support a range of business units, as well as coordinating with the group’s advisers on projects & ad-hoc advisory work. It is a cross functional tax planning & advisory position, working with a range stakeholders particularly the business unit tax directors, and other functions such as business development, accounting, treasury & legal. The responsibilities include tax planning, effective tax rate & cash mobilisation projects, working with external advisers and the internal Transfer Pricing team on a range of projects.

Besides a strong tax technical skillset, this requires the ability to build relationships and maintain close contact with all these stakeholders. It also necessitates a deep understanding of key business tax issues in this industry sector.

A French (or German) corporate tax background is required along with proven European tax experience across multiple countries. This experience is most likely gained from industry (ideally another large MNC). It might also appeal to someone still working in Big 4 on Partner-track with a genuine interest to develop themselves in a globally leading corporate, with a first-class tax department.
