In House Tax Manager (part time), Leeds, to £55k + car (fte)

Marks Sattin are working in partnership with an industry leading business in Leeds to recruit a part time Tax Manager (ideally working 22.5hrs).

Working alongside the Central Finance team, the Tax Manager will be responsible for providing strategic, technical and commercial tax advice to the group and managing the group's tax compliance work. Responsibilities will include:-

* Developing and implementing the group's tax strategy

* Providing strategic direction on tax matters

* Providing technical advice and project management for tax related matters

* Overseeing the preparation and submission of tax returns and payments to HMRC

* Improving tax compliance processes

* Managing the relationship with HMRC and external tax advisors

* Managing the year-end tax accounting process

* Providing support for tax budgeting and forecasting

It is essential that you have a proven track record in working with corporate and employment taxes. An understanding of VAT and international taxes would also be beneficial. You must have excellent project management skills and be a confident decision maker who can improve efficiency when required. In order to communicate and negotiate credibly with senior stakeholders both inside and outside the group, it is vital that you have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

The successful candidate will be remunerated with a competitive salary and car allowance. There is also free parking on site.
