We are currently working with a forward thinking financial services group that are looking to hire a Tax Manager to join their Central London offices. The business is a highly acquisitive insurance company, with substantial private equity backing and ambitious growth plans moving forward.

The tax team** in the business are responsible for corporate tax compliance, tax accounting, advising on transactions, the VAT process, transfer pricing, employment tax, managing tax risk as well as any other ad-hoc projects.

**The successful candidate will be the tax team.

Yes, just you. The Tax Manager will operate in a standalone capacity reporting directly into the CFO. You will be given autonomy to manage your workload as well as working closely with any external advisors. You will also be given on-going support from the current tax adviser who will remain as a support to the business on a flexible part-time basis. This gives you the ideal balance of being responsible for all taxes yet still getting support and development.

The business is open to this candidate coming from a variety of backgrounds as long as they can demonstrate the aptitude and drive to take up this broad and challenging role. This could be someone who has achieved their ACA/CTA in recent years and is looking to make their first move in-house, or alternatively someone who is already working in a similar role.
