Tax Technology and Transformation Manager

Exciting Opportunity to join a global consulting firm and a leading UK provider of tax services. Their work is market leading and diverse and their clients span a range of industries, from multinational organisations, to entrepreneurs and family businesses.

Their growing Tax Reporting and Strategy group are expanding their Tax Technology & Transformation delivery capability to address unprecedented increasing demand in the market. With an unparalleled client base this opportunity represents a real tangible chance to work within a specialist team and help shape and build one of their priority businesses.

As part of a growing team you'll be responsible for the day to day delivery of projects, working closely with both senior and junior members of the team to provide outstanding service to clients. They are specifically looking to add a team member at Manager grade who will work on large scale transformation programmes including scoping, design and implementation of tax technology solutions to automate clients' processes across different taxes and regulatory obligations. This means leveraging ERP system capabilities and other disruptive technologies (AI, Machine learning, Data & Analytics).

The existing team is extremely diverse in the skills that individuals bring. Backgrounds include Tax Technicians, Financial Reporting Specialists, Technology Solutions Architects and lots in between and all play a significant role in working with clients to devise solutions. To close some of the existing skill gaps in the Candidates should either have a background in Corporate or Indirect Tax OR a background in Technology Consulting/Implementation. They are flexible where you will be based as long as you are able to travel to the London office when required.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Participating in the identification of technology solutions and process changes for clients across different tax areas (indirect tax, corporate tax, withholding tax etc.)

-Service proposition development and subsequent execution of the delivery of the service offerings identifying opportunity areas for new ways to leverage clients' existing technology stack and participate in the iterative development

-Working with blue chip clients across a broad spectrum of sectors.

-Gathering tax requirements (across all taxes) as part of a wider ERP implementation / finance transformation programme.

Essential Qualification & Skills :

We are looking for a high quality candidate, motivated by a desire to work within the fast moving environment and be capable of dealing with the technical demands that this will bring. You will have:

- An understanding of how finance operates with large multinational organisations and/or Experience in ERPs, finance consolidation systems or Management Information systems

-Been involved in Data & Analytics, finance system integration and/or tax technology projects,

-An understanding of the broader digitisation of the tax agenda

-Experience of dealing with real time reporting requirements (desirable but not essential)

-Tax technical knowledge in direct and/or indirect taxes

-Experience in process redesign

-Project management experience

-Proven ability to work independently within a broader project

-Track record of participating in tax technology, finance systems or management information systems projects

-Understanding of the wider digitisation of tax agenda

-Experience in operating tax systems or finance / management information systems (particularly SAP and S/4HANA).

Desirable skills:

-Experience in tax control framework, governance, taxonomies definition and implementation
-Experience in Shared Service Centres implementation
-Experience in compliance and reporting
