Tax Director (Contract), Investment Bank, Canary Wharf

Brewer Morris is currently working with a large investment bank to recruit a Tax Director to join them on a contract basis. They are looking for someone to join their large tax team in March or April to lead their tax compliance process for a period of 6-12 months. Based in Canary Wharf, they have a large office with excellent facilities and also offer a large degree of flexibility to allow you to work most effectively. This could allow a different working pattern, or the option to work from home regularly.

The team you will be joining has a broad spectrum of corporation tax professionals from varied backgrounds, and as such has created a high-performing team that are well thought of across the business. The person joining will be expected to be a team-player and prepared to help out across all areas, however your core responsibilities will be:

* Prepare and submit the annual tax return of the group
* Review corporate tax returns of entities prepared by others
* Liaising with HMRC to resolve any queries
* Stay aware of tax regulation changes and make the relevant internal changes to stay compliant
* Managing a team of experienced tax professionals and an outsourced provider

The role and the business are highly complex and as such they expect that the most suitable applicant will have worked in a large PLC. Although broad corporate tax experience is welcomed, it is important that your knowledge will have a compliance bias and that you've personally been responsible for overseeing a highly complex tax return.
