Newly created role with a well known luxury retail group based in London's West End, this role will offer you a truly multi- disciplinary role with a global remit.
In this role you will take the lead on all indirect tax matters and will partner with the Head of Tax to improve current processes and technology. The team are in a period of growth so there will be an opportunity to take on projects which will expose you to other areas of tax.
Duties
* Assisting with the implementation of making tax digital for VAT
* Implementing process changes and technology to the VAT compliance process with responsibility for managing post MTD
* Managing overseas VAT compliance
* Advising on VAT issues relating to existing and new business initiatives
* Due diligence on the implications of US Sales tax on the business
* Building relationships with external advisors from an indirect tax perspective
* Keeping up to date with case law / legislative change and providing updates to the business
* Oversight on employment tax issues
About you
* CTA/ACA qualified
* Experience in the retail market preferred but not essential
* Have a strong understanding of VAT compliance processes with knowledge of technology solutions preferred
* The ability to build strong relationships with key business stakeholders and external advisors
