Your new role
As the successful Corporate Tax professional, you will be responsible for your own portfolio, whilst operating within an established and supportive Scottish Tax Team spread across the Central Belt. As a Senior, your focus will be to manage your clients' day to day tax compliance affairs, whilst supervising graduates. You will also provide ad-hoc support in relation to advisory work. Should you be an Assistant Manager, you will provide an equal measure of compliance and advisory work, including transaction-based services, to a wide range of clients within your portfolio. Responsibilities will also include reviewing and controlling the work of more junior staff members, liaising with HMRC, ensuring assignments are completed within agreed timescale and budget, identifying areas of risk and opportunity, providing training and mentoring to graduates, and participating in business development and tender delivery.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have strong UK Corporate Tax technical skills, backed by being part- or fully-qualified in CA, ACA or CTA. You will have a proven track record managing a portfolio of clients with the ability to adhere to deadlines and budgets. You will be motivated and hard-working with excellent communication, both written and verbal.
