Sometimes roles crop up which are really rather special and this is one of those. The firm is extremely successful with organic growth of c 10% year on year and a client base of exceptionally high quality clients which has attracted specialists from the Top 20 and Big 4. It is forward thinking in its approach, with a 'your choice' dress code and a sensible approach to flexible and agile working options.

The head of trusts is desperately busy and needs another pair of hands to help run the team and assist with technical work.The client base includes HNW individuals (non res and non dom) and entrepreneurs, on and offshore trusts and probates etc Ideally, you will be an experienced manager, used to running a portfolio of trusts, estates and charities. The scope of the role includes compliance and compliance review and advisory work e.g trust formation, reorganisations involving the breaking of trusts and general IHT planning. A qualification e.g ACA or STEP would be useful but candidates with a solid background who are QBE will also be considered.

You will certainly enjoy providing a high quality service to a complex and interesting client base and managing and mentoring more junior staff whilst working collegiately with the wider personal tax team.

Ultimately, there is scope for the right person to move into the head of trusts role, although the firm is equally happy to consider an experienced manager who is happy to remain at manager level.
