Exciting In-House Tax Manager Job, Brilliant Business, Glasgow, up to £70,000 dependent on experience

Your new role
As the Tax Manager, you will utilise your strong technical knowledge to manage the Group's tax planning and compliance, in relation to both direct and indirect taxes. This will involve preparation of the year-end tax p&l charges and disclosure notes for inclusion in the Annual Return and the entity statutory accounts. You will be responsible for corporate tax planning, to minimise the effective tax rate of the consolidated Group, and carry out tax budgeting. You will also complete indirect tax compliance, such as VAT and income taxes. Lastly, you will be involved in transfer pricing and R&D credit claims. As the tax representative for the business, your role will be significantly external-facing, liaising the HMRC and consultants, in addition to advising the business internally.

What you'll need to succeed
As the successful individual, you will have a proven track record of delivering tax compliance and planning work in a either a Chartered Accountancy or Industry capacity. You will preferably be ICAS/ICAEW/ACCA qualified in addition to being a Chartered Tax Adviser. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with senior stakeholders and external parties. You will be detailed, confident and able to deliver high quality work in line with strict deadlines.
