The business would therefore like to make an addition to its Edinburgh Tax Team at the level of Tax Senior. Operating across over 40 countries, this role offers immense variety and the opportunity to get involved in exciting business projects whilst handling "business as usual" tax requirements. Based in Edinburgh City Centre - a short walk from a train station and bus links - this position is ideal for those residing in the Scottish Capital or further afield. Standard working hours are 9am to 5pm, but individuals requiring flexible arrangements or part-time hours will be equally considered. The organisation has an excellent culture and focuses on its employee well-being, with a 10% non-contributory pension scheme, discretionary bonus, regular socials, Christmas and Summer events, and the opportunity to get involved in company sports teams.

You will prepare corporate tax computations and returns, complete UK and international indirect tax returns, reconcile tax payments and prepare monthly transfer pricing adjustments. Further to this, you will gain exposure to employment tax when required, for example filing PAYE Settlement Agreements and Employer Related Securities reports. In relation to advisory, you will be involved in a variety of projects, for example, M&A and due diligence, R&D, trade and asset transfers, and (re-)structuring. You will also handle regular ad-hoc queries from a number of business units.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will have strong experience of corporate tax compliance, which they have gained in a Chartered Accountancy firm or in-house Tax Team for in excess of 2 years. Additional knowledge of VAT will be beneficial and you will ideally be ATT qualified or CTA/ACCA/ICAS/ICAEW part-qualified or qualified. You will have have excellent communication skills with the proven ability to work to strict deadlines.

What you'll get in return
In addition to receiving a salary of between £25,000 and £32,000 (with some potential to go beyond for the right individual) and working for an instantly recognisable organisation, you will have a non-contributory pension of 10% and annual bonus. You will gain further responsibilities and progression, and should you wish, receive study support for CTA. This is a rare opportunity to gain experience in an international capacity as well as building on your UK tax knowledge within a dynamic global business.
