Vacancy for a motivated graduate to join a growing firm in Farringdon. Competitive salary + study support.

Your new company

A growing company located near London's Farringdon Station, dealing with OMBs, SMEs, and entrepreneurs. The company prides itself on offering a tailor-made service to all clients. This firm prides itself on providing top-tier service to its expanding client base, and on discovering adaptive solutions to their problems. With a network of clients built up painstakingly over a long period of time, many of whom have been retained business for over 40 years, this company understands that being competitive both in-house and beyond the firm matters. They offer competitive salaries and a degree of flexibility to suit you.

Your new role

Ideally, we would like someone that has already had exposure to personal tax and knows it is the area of expertise they wish to pursue, but as a minimum they must be educated to A-Levels or equivalent (A*- C), have GCSEs grade C and above in Maths and English, and have some office experience. You will join a stable team and will receive support towards studying for the ATT qualification, whilst gaining exposure to a variety of clients.

* Supporting the tax managers in delivering tax returns and client advice.
* Preparation of personal tax returns for individuals, trusts and partnerships for review.
* Contacting HM Revenue & Customs with regards to client queries and obtaining information.
* Dealing with PAYE coding matters, NI deferment forms and other relevant forms.
* Any ad hoc admin tasks as required.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be expected to contribute your interpersonal skills, your pro-active outlook, and your organisational skills on a daily basis to ensure the completion of your duties. In addition, you will prove from day one your ability to work effectively, both as part of a team and on your own. Underpinning all this will be your written and verbal communication, which you will deploy effectively across the many nuanced tasks you will undertake.

Perhaps most importantly, your willingness to learn will be displayed in your study, and eventual attainment of, the ATT qualification.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will enjoy a competitive salary, 20 days holiday (exclusive of Bank Holidays), an attractive study support package after suitable day to day technical experience has been gained, which will enable you to attain the ATT qualification and thereby set yourself up for a strong, progressive role in tax, and a good working environment and numerous perks.
