The role will work across both compliance and planning, whilst with with ever increasing involvement in providing tax planning and advisory services, to a varied client, base across both personal and corporate tax. Description

Joining as a Tax Planning Senior / Advisor, based in the firms Truro offices, you will initially perhaps manage the provision of compliance services to mixed clients, but with ever increasing involvement working with managers and directors, delivering across wide ranging tax projects for the firms clients. Clients will range across company directors, high net worth individuals, trusts and estates and other private client individuals, as well as wide ranging corporate clients, OMBs and SMEs, across wide ranging industries and turnovers. Advisory tax projects may cover areas such as capital allowances, inheritance tax, structuring advisory projects, HMRC approved venture capital schemes, capital gains tax planning and tax treatment of trusts, remuneration planning, offshore trusts, revenue investigations and forensic type project work. So there will be scope for involvement across all areas of corporate and personal tax planning project work. The directors and management team are ideally looking for someone they can mould and develop into this role, so looking to bring in the right career focused tax professional who wants to build on their compliance background perhaps to date, across personal or corporate tax who can demonstrate a genuine desire and interest to develop a more planning focused career and learn the skills to advise clients on wide ranging tax planning project work.

Profile

Ideally you will be any of ACA / ACCA / ATT / CTA studying or qualified, with a background in the accountancy practice sector, with all of your career so far either focused entirely within tax, or with a good element of your career developed in tax. You will likely have developed your career to around Tax Senior / Tax Manager levels or similar. You will have significant experience across compliance, with any planning experience a bonus and you most importantly you will bring the enthusiasm to develop your tax career, demonstrating the right mind and skill set to develop a planning/advisory tax career within this growing tax department.

Job Offer

Circa £25,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable, plus benefits.
