Your new role

My client is currently looking for a Senior Tax Manager who as part of a small dedicated advisory team will be responsible for assisting the Investment and Operational Tax Director in supporting investment structuring, identification of tax issues and tax risk management in respect of Investment Management activity across the group for traditional and property investments globally.

The role requires experience of corporate tax, income tax, capital gains tax, VAT, stamp duty and overseas tax regimes while developing relationships in a specialist business area.

The successful candidate would have responsibility for (although not limited to);

* Managing the day to day relationship of the groups tax team with selected investment management teams;
* For ensuring the development & maintenance of best practice assurance frameworks and processes in a business context around tax and tax risk and delivering support for the wider tax team as required on investment tax matters.

The role has a varied and wide ranging remit, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement, and so requires someone who thrives in an environment where they will have multiple deliverables to manage.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a qualified accountant or tax professional. Experience of effective governance around investment management, fund operation and a solid working knowledge of tax technical issues for traditional and alternative investment are a must. Experience in-house and preferably within the asset management industry will be highly desirable.

Additionally experience within the asset management industry will be highly desirable.
