We are looking for a Senior Manager to join the tax team in London of a leading investment management firm, reporting into the Head of Tax, to oversee the tax affairs of the Group globally. The team advise the Group's business units on product development, investment issues, tax risk and compliance oversight, and AEOI throughout a product's lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
Providing tax advice of investment products with global investment strategies including Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives and Real Estate, with funds based in 9 jurisdictions
Keeping abreast of new legislation and market developments, which impact the Group's investment products
Overseeing the Group's AEOI responsibilities
Overseeing compliance obligations for the funds, including ASC 740/IFRIC 23, investor reporting in USA and EU
Overseeing the tax risk management framework for the Group's investment products
Managing the relationship with external advisors and negotiating budget for the provision of services
Skills/Experience
Worked for a large asset manager or within a Big 4 practice undertaking investment tax advisory and compliance work
Worked with tax issues associated with investment into highly liquid withholding tax and other non-resident tax issues
Developed fund structures for global distribution
Managed the tax risk management framework for a large asset manager
Worked with private market debt and real estate strategies is preferable
An understanding of key US investor issues would be an advantage
