A team for Tax professionals who like Tax. To clarify, this is a group within a Big 4 firm which is intent of delivering best-in-class tax audit services to its clients, by concentrating their Tax Audit staff in 3 National Hubs. These hubs are in the Midlands (chiefly Birmingham) and the South East (e.g. Reading, Cambridge, Gatwick), plus another in the North of England.

The chief aim of these teams will be to audit the judgements of the firm's audit clients on Tax reporting - plus review the tax work and audit work of other firms, where requested by regulators and multinational clients asking or second opinion.

The ideal candidate will either be a Tax auditor already, or a strong Tax accountant, possibly in a commercial role currently and looking for greater flexibility in terms of home working or reduced hours.

If you have worked in industry & commerce for a few years and are hesitant about a return to the profession due to the need to 'sell', this is a ready-made annuity portfolio, so you can just focus on delivery. In addition to the National hubs of Tax auditors, the London office will have specialists who can assist with unusual technical challenges.

To be clear, this is not a 'back office' or shared service centre role. You will have direct client contact so relationship management, a skill your in house role will have prepared you for, is very important. If your personal circumstances dictate a truncated week, an annual contract working around school-holidays, full time in the office or anywhere in between, this team is able to offer great work, career progression and flexibility like no other.
