My client is a multi national Top 10 Firm based in Guildford and they are looking for an Assistant Manager to join their Corporate Tax Team
Your new role
This role will provide Tax compliance and advisory services for a wide range of clients. You will be responsible for all day to day tax compliance affairs of clients, involved with related advisory matters, whilst being supervised by Manager/Director/Partner and communicating with clients. You will manage a portfolio of clients including control of billings and cash collection, ensuring assignments are completed within agreed budgets, keeping the client and Partner informed of overruns and plan staff assignments in order to give an appropriate spread of experience. Identify risk and technical matters, as well as selling opportunities, develop relationships with clients, participate in bids/proposals for new work as requested. You will work as part of management team with other Tax managers within the business group, and provide support to the rest of the Tax team. You will review the work of juniors, providing ongoing training and monitoring and feedback on work, supervising while on client premises and in the office.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be educated to degree level, and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent and be able to demonstrate post qualified experience. You will be able to manage a small portfolio of clients. You will have significant understanding of and previous experience within tax compliance, and maintain an in depth and up to date knowledge of taxation. You will also have some supervisory experience.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of up to £53,570 plus some excellent benefits. My client also is able to offer flexible working arrangement and working from home if required.
