Your new employer is a city based real estate group which has in recent years helped transform a once derelict part of London into on the world's most sought after spaces for offices and retail outlets including some iconic and inspiring buildings.The Group's workforce comprises in excess of 1,200 people who are dedicated to one of four group companies which control different areas of the groups overall business.

Your new role
Reporting to the Deputy Head of Tax your responsibility will be to prepare, manage through internal review and file, income tax, corporation tax and VAT returns for a portfolio of entities together with associated administration. The focus of this role is on VAT compliance and training will be provided for the corporation tax aspects.

Your responsibilities in the role will include but will not be limited to monthly review and filing of VAT returns; facilitate transition of VAT compliance process from in house to a third party tax software product; prepare tax computations using third party tax software (upon which training will be provided); assist with HMRC correspondence and provide direction to the Accounts Team where required on posting and recharging items as identified.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have full right to work in the UK without limitation.

It is expected that you will be a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or a Chartered or Certified Accountant (ICAEW ACA or ACCA) and will have a minimum of two years compliance experience and will be a familiar user of an industry standard VAT compliance software product.

It is desired that you will have previous experience of tax compliance, specifically relating to property investment companies and in an IFRS environment.

You will be IT proficient, predominantly Excel and will have excellent communication and organisational skills.
