Given successful business development and growth, this firm is recruiting for a Tax Manager with with particular interest and experience in R&D.

Your new role
As a R&D Tax Manager, you will work as part of the thriving Tax Team, delivering bespoke solutions to a diverse client portfolio with complex business issues. Reporting to Senior Managers and Directors, responsibilities will include assisting in the management of a portfolio of clients, including financial management. This involves obtaining incentives on behalf of clients - SMEs to large corporates, to support their investment in innovation and technology, covering R&D credits, creative sector reliefs and grants, and patent Box. You will undertake project management on R&D claims, documenting activities, liaising with HMRC, providing specialist software expertise, and visiting clients to understand their business. Indeed, you will also be involved in business development activities, identifying new clients and opportunities with exciting clients, and assist in the supervision and training of more junior staff members.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have one of the following two skill sets:
(1) You will demonstrate a proven track record within tax in a practice environment, managing clients and relationships successfully. You will have strong exposure to R&D, preferably inclusive of programming experience.
(2) You will have a proven track record within software engineering and have an interest in utilising this knowledge and developing an understanding of tax, specifically R&D tax.
