The Oxfordshire office of this expanding professional services firm provide a wide range of services to wealthy individuals, landed estates and owner managed businesses.
The office boasts three partners and the tax department will be six strong when at full capacity.
As a personal tax manager in this role, you will report to one of the tax partners and will be tasked with managing the tax compliance and tax advisory needs of a portfolio of private clients.
Although the job is compliance-weighted, you will enjoy a healthy amount of tax advisory work too, spanning areas such as capital gains tax, inheritance tax planning and some trust work also.
Some of the private clients include individuals who get posted to various assignments across the globe for work. Therefore, suitable candidates will need to be familiar with and capable of handling expatriate tax matters on their behalf.
In addition to good tax technical knowledge, you will be a confident communicator with clients and colleagues alike.
You will be responsible and trust-worthy and will enjoy playing an integral part in this small but successful tax practice.
In return for your efforts and your achievements, you will take home a regionally competitive package and will have the chance to work towards joining the partnership in the medium-term, should this be your ambition.
The firm is keen to support the emotional wellbeing of its workforce. Therefore, a degree of flexible working where possible is accommodated, and this includes the opportunity to work from home one day a week.
