This top 10 accountancy firm based in Central London are seeking a VAT Senior Associate to join their Indirect Tax team. This firm's VAT specialists can assist with a wide variety of VAT issues, ranging from applications to register for VAT to complex matters such as partial exemption calculations, the capital goods scheme, the tour operator's margin scheme (TOMS) and the place of supply of goods or services. In addition, the team also carry out more general VAT review to enable your business to take a pro-active approach to its VAT affairs. This will either provide comfort in knowing that the business is VAT efficient, or give an early warning of exposure to VAT errors that could give rise to costly assessments, interest charges and penalties from HMRC. The team also work to identify VAT opportunities to improve cash flow.

Your new role
Joining as a VAT Senior Associate you will get the opportunity to take on your own portfolio of clients for whom you will be responsible for preparing client tax returns with the Senior Managers and Directors. Furthermore you will be expected to assist the Senior Managers and Directors with new client proposals following by the preparation of engagement letters and client acceptance documentation.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this opportunity you must be an indirect tax professional either having completed your training in practice or with the HMRC. Ideally you will be either accountancy or tax qualified but part qualified candidates will also be considered.
