This innovative engineering and design consultancy company is renowned its work iconic landmark projects. Employing over 4,000 people, the Group operates in 70 countries with strategic hubs in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas.

As a Senior Indirect Tax Manager, you will be a high profile member of Group Tax based in their global headquarters in London. You will report directly to the Head of Tax on all relevant indirect tax matters that affect the UK and international group. The role is diverse and challenging, covering the four sectors of the business globally, development, consultancy, construction and operations.


Responsibilities:


Advisory
- Providing indirect tax guidance and advice to colleagues across the UK and the wider international group
- Advice across all sectors and group services (liability decisions, VAT documentation, contracts, business transformation issues, systems issues)
- Handling queries raised by the group’s clients and supply chain, both in the UK and internationally
- Providing support to the construction project teams charged with new residential builds, giving advice on the application of the zero rate to client billings and subcontractor payments
- Owning and developing best practice indirect tax/VAT risk management controls and processes
- Providing information to the business on risks, opportunities and relevant changes in relevant VAT/indirect tax regimes.


Compliance
- Working with the VAT Assistant, draft numerous VAT returns (quarterly and monthly) relating to UK and international trading entities
- Liaising with internal Finance Managers and external advisors where relevant to obtain the appropriate supporting information
- Liaising with Treasury to ensure timely and accurate payment of liabilities/timely allocation of VAT refunds
- Working with the VAT Assistant, ensuring timely submission of “Relevant Contracts Tax” notifications for entities trading in the Republic of Ireland.


About you
- CTA or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3 years post qualification experience in a VAT advisory role
- Previous experience advising construction businesses and property developers is an advantage, but not required.
