European Tax Manager, Sika, Baar, Switzerland

Our EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region contributes as a significant part of the Group’s business, with close to CHF3 billion turnover and 10,000 employees with establishments spanning about 50 countries. As part of the efforts in strengthening our tax management structure, we are looking for a talented

European Tax Manager

to join our Global Tax team based in Baar, Switzerland. Reporting directly to the Group Head of Tax, your focus will be on providing value added, proactive tax support to our businesses in the EMEA region. In this role, you are can grow into far reaching responsibilities including the regular management of M&A projects related to tax.

Exciting Challenges

• Leading tax projects on the agenda within the region
• Ensuring adherence to tax compliance in the region based on a risk analysis
• Working with local and global/regional finance teams to support tax audits and tax enquiries including taking the active lead on leading these teams in relation to enquiries focusing on international tax and/or transfer pricing matters
• Providing technical transfer pricing support and advise in regional transfer pricing audits
• Working closely with key stakeholders across functions to assess the tax consequences of our business activities, development and expansion
• Managing Group tax reporting periodically
• Managing M&A projects related to tax
• Far reaching responsibilities with exposure under a truly global organization

We Need Your Skills

• Master in Tax Law or equivalent
• 2-4 years of international corporate tax experience gained in an international advisory firm or in-house in a multinational organization
• Technically sound knowledge in taxes, in particular in international corporate tax with a good knowledge of transfer pricing and tax in the manufacturing/ industrial sector
• Basic understanding of IFRS tax accounting rules and indirect tax
• Experience in implementation and M&A tax (tax due diligence and structuring) will be an advantage
• Excellent command of English, other European languages will be a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with multiple jurisdictions, business units and key stakeholders of a global organization
• Able and willing to travel within the regions
