Tax Senior Executive role, Birmingham, up to £37,500

This company is a nationally recognised top ten professional services firm. They operate a large range of services including accounting, tax, as well as risk and wealth management. The role has become available off the back of business growth and would provide an excellent platform and exposure to corporate taxation compliance and advisory services . A permanent Senior Executive/Assistant Business Tax Manager is sought within the Birmingham office.

Your new role
You will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients covering all aspects of the corporation tax compliance function. In addition the dynamic role allows you to assist senior team members in the provision of other compliance work, and undertake a mentoring and development programme with junior staff.
Opportunity to build and maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues, and the role will offer the opportunity to become involved in business development work. Dealing with HMRC correspondence including reviewing/preparing letters for review.
Financial responsibility for your own portfolio of clients including preparing fee proposals. Developing ability to problem solve using HMRC manuals and tax legislation.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to thrive in this role you should be suitably qualified within the area of business/corporate tax. ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified, or equivalent professional experience desired. Competent with Microsoft Office suite applications, and good working knowledge of Alphatax and PerTax would be advantageous. To build rapport with both colleagues and clients you should have good communication skills and be able to organise your time effectively. If you are a pro-active, self-motivated individual with an ability to problem solve and work under pressure to deadlines, this role is an excellent opportunity.
