Independent insurance broker with a global reach is looking to hire a Tax Manager for its head office in Kent

Your new role

Purpose of the Role:

To manage the Corporation Tax compliance process and operational tax procedures for all legal entities in the Group, in association with outsourced provider.

Job Description:

Corporation Tax Compliance

* Responsible for quarterly and annual tax accounting process for current and deferred taxes
* Management of outsourced provider of Corporation tax filings for all group companies including provision of information and queries
* Calculation of quarterly corporation tax instalment payments
* Consolidation of group results for group relief purposes, management of Group Payment Arrangement
* Management of overseas corporation tax compliance as required

Operational Taxes

* Preparation and management of documentation covering all tax processes within the Group for purposes of the Senior Accounting Officer regime (Corporation tax, VAT, employer taxes)

Other

* Preparation of quarterly VAT filings for the Group
* Support the Head of Tax on all direct tax issues from M&A activity in UK and overseas
* Build relationships and credibility with Finance Directors and staff across the group
* Assessment of processes and procedures for Corporation Tax and recommendations for improvements

What you'll need to succeed

Essential criteria must be clearly demonstrated on CV

* CTA / ICAEW / ACCA qualified
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of UK Corporation Tax
* Previous in-house tax experience, ideally in a financial services environment
* International direct tax experience preferred
* Working knowledge of indirect and employment taxes
