A leading professional services firm with an excellent Belfast footprint are in the position to offer an experienced Tax professional an interesting role within their Tax Incentives business - due to impressive growth.

Your new role The firm's Belfast Tax Incentives business is the largest team in Northern Ireland dedicated to the provision of R&D tax credit advice, patent box advice and capital allowances.

In recent years the Belfast Tax Incentives business has gone through a period of rapid growth, becoming the largest business of its kind in NI.


The Business Tax Incentives team advise clients across a broad range of industries, including agri-foods, aviation, automotive, utilities, construction, aggregates, software, defence and chemicals. Our clients range from multibillion pound listed groups to local SMEs and entrepreneurial start-ups.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have experience in advising business on R&D tax credit claims and / or patent box claims including experience of technical interviews with competent professionals. You will have prepared supplementary R&D reports for submission to HMRC. You will also have experience of managing junior staff and reporting directly to Senior Management.

You will be ACA / ACCA and or CTA Qualified with a strong Tax background from Practice and a degree in science, engineering or a similar technical discipline would be desirable.

My client is willing to talk to individuals who have a strong Tax background and have an interest in specialising in R&D - direct experience in this field is not essential.
