A highly regarded and growing accountancy practice, based near Tonbridge is searching for an experience Private Client / Personal Tax Manager, within a compliance and advisory focused role to deliver a personal tax services to a varied client base, alongside growing and developing this successful firms tax department. You will carve a pivotal role within this firm, working closely with partners, with associated career progression on offer.
This long established accountancy practice based near Tonbridge has a broad breath of clients that spreads far across Kent and the South East. The firm has a strong commercial and forward looking ethos, alongside a real focus on quality of client care, focusing on quality of service delivery and client relationships.
As the Personal Tax Manager, you will exercise full responsibility in delivering the firms tax service working alongside other dedicated professionals. Responsibility also for dealing with work on own dedicated portfolio in addition to heading up of the personal tax department and working with qualified personnel.
A varied client portfolio including HNWs, Trusts, owner managers amongst others. The role will also encompass dealing with planning as well as advisory and compliance matters. Some corporate tax exposure desirable but not essential. This is a hands-on role which requires the review of personal tax returns, together with the preparation of returns for portfolio clients dependent upon degree of complexity; reporting directly to partners.
Foremost, the delivery of the tax service is the key with great career progression opportunities on offer.
You will be any of ACA, ACCA, and/or CTA / STEP qualified or qualified by experience, with an accountancy practice, or specialist tax firm background, with a demonstrable specialism within private client / personal tax, at around tax manager, or senior levels.
You will ideally bring staff management and the ability to manage a substantial client portfolio profitably, along with an interest and ability to further grow and develop a firms tax department. You will be looking for a role with career progression and development potential, within a highly successful and well regarded accountancy practice firm.
In addition, it would be advantageous if you are able to demonstrate the ability to deal with complex tax advisory and planning issues, across areas such as IHT, CGT, Trusts etc.
£40,000- £50,000 dependent on experience.
