Your new role
You will take responsibility for indirect tax globally. You will report to the Group Head of Tax you will oversee indirect tax reporting, enquiries and advisory work. You will be confident to take full ownership of indirect tax and manage relationship building across the business to a high level. As an early member of the newly independent Tax function, you will support the Group Head of Tax in tax planning projects as well as assisting in the continued development of the indirect tax compliance processes, procedures and controls.

You will be confident to deliver at a senior level that reflects your industry experience to date. You will be a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders including business partners, accounting, finance, legal, consultants and tax authorities. The role will include involvement in work beyond indirect tax to support the broader function.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be an Indirect tax specialist, either ACCA, ACA or CTA, or qualified by experience with a strong background and detailed knowledge of UK, EU and non-EU VAT in both a compliance and advisory capacity. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively as part of the wider Tax and Finance team and be confident to balance regulatory / legislative requirements with business capabilities. You will be a motivated self-starter, able to forensically analyse books, records and accounts for VAT compliance
