Description
VAT
* The timely production of the Group's VAT returns including reconciliations, approvals and submissions.
* Periodic reviews of the VAT return process to help improve efficiency
* Keep up to date with and ensure compliance with all VAT legislation relevant to the Group.
* Consideration of any new activities and the potential VAT implications.
* Developing training processes and ensuring sufficient training is available and completed by all relevant staff, to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
* Updating budgets and forecasts for all VAT related expenses and transactions.
Corporation Tax
* The timely production of the Group's corporation tax returns covering a minimum of 3 corporation tax returns each year. This will include working with external tax advisors to ensure the process works efficiently and in line with the applicable deadlines.
* Keep up to date with and ensure compliance with all corporation tax legislation relevant to the Group.
* Dealing with queries from the wider business and also externally on all corporation tax related matters.
* Consideration of any new activities and the potential corporation tax implications.
* Developing training processes and ensuring sufficient training is available and completed by all relevant staff, to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
* Updating budgets and forecasts for all corporation tax related expenses and transactions.
CIS
* Oversight of the CIS process and ensuring compliance.
* Look to automate the CIS process working with other teams.
* Dealing with queries from the wider business and also externally on all CIS related matters.
Other Duties
* Produce reports and present at relevant Board meetings.
* Provide training where appropriate to employees and board members
* Any other duties
Profile
ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA Qualified (or part qualified)
Ideally have a working tax background
Excellent verbal and numerical reasoning skills
Ability to communicate complex technical matters to non-financial and colleagues within the organisation
Job Offer
Up to £33,500 and the opportunity to gain a varied skill set in tax and other project work.
