Hays is proud to be partnered with a longstanding Chartered Accountancy firm, which is experiencing exponential growth, to recruit for a Corporate Tax Senior or Corporate Tax Assistant Manager on a part-time basis (3-4 days per week). You will be located within the office in the south Edinburgh area with a stunning and traditional exterior, reflecting the firm's notable length of experience and stability. With 5 partners and nearly 40 staff operating from the Edinburgh office in a relaxed and semi-autonomous setting, in addition to having over 100 offices in total across numerous counties, they offer the best of both worlds. The Edinburgh Tax Team is responsible for over 300 corporate clients encompassing all industries and with annual turnovers ranging between £100,000 and £40 million. As a result, they offer a fantastic variety of high quality work to their employees.

Your new role
Joining as a Corporate Tax Supervisor or Assistant Manager (depending upon your experience) within an on-site Tax Team of 10, you will manage a portfolio of clients across a range of industries. This is will include reviewing simpler tax computations carried out by more junior individuals, while preparing those for larger, more complex companies. You will have regular, day-to-day client contact and liaise with Account Managers to work in tandem with the wider Accountancy and Audit services, in addition to assisting with tax-planning assignments when required. There is the opportunity to also be involved in Personal Tax matters; handling the returns for the Directors of the companies which you are responsible for.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated Tax or Accounting professional with a good communication skills, and experience of the owner management business sector in respect to Corporate Tax computations. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to meet frequent and stringent deadlines. A relevant qualification, ATT, CTA or CA is not essential but advantageous.
