Your new role
You will manage the corporation tax affairs of the UK group of companies including tax compliance, tax reporting and tax audits. You will provide tax advice to the business. Maintain a good working relationship with HMRC. Ensure tax risks are well managed by maintaining effective processes and controls.
25% Preparation of corporation tax returns, tax forecasts and tax payments for the UK group of companies
* Gather required information, analyze in detail what can qualify for deduction etc. This will require a lot of collaboration with the business in the UK
* Ensure that the information for all of Cargill business in the UK has been gathered.
* Assists with audits by the tax authorities.
20% Manage the tax reporting process under US GAAP and prepare the tax disclosures for the UK GAAP statutory accounts
* The UK GAAP is the basis tax returns and to reconcile that to the US GAAP
15% Optimize the UK group's tax position through effective tax planning including utilization of losses, R&D reliefs, capital allowances and other opportunities
10% Provide tax advice to the businesses across a range of tax issues and transactions
10% Assist in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation
10% Manage tax risk by maintaining effective processes and controls
10% Provide advice and assistance in relation to employer compliance duties including preparation of the PSAs and STBV reports
What you'll need to succeed
You will have 5 years post qualification experience managing corporation tax for a UK group of companies within a multinational enterprise. You will have Transfer pricing experience. You will have Tax planning experience including M&A, R&D tax reliefs, loss utilization and optimizing capital allowances.
