Responsibilities
* Proactively engaging with key stakeholders to identify areas where employment tax advisory support is required (e.g. new product approvals, complex termination payments, cross-border working arrangements, reward initiatives, international pensions and share plans)
* Act as a day-to-day lead to coordinate the provision of employment tax support in respect of compliance processes (e.g. PAYE Settlement Agreement, short-term business visitor reporting, share plan reporting, benefit in kind and termination payment reporting), including vendor management where required
* Identify, mitigate and monitor employment tax risk and consideration of tax risk more widely
* Manage the SAO process, country-by-country reporting, Remuneration reporting and other regulatory reporting requirements from an employment tax perspective
* Provide employment tax advice during the design and implementation of projects, such as those resulting from business change and act as a project lead for employment tax led projects
* In addition to advising on the day-to-day aspects of UK Employment Taxes, the team advises on relevant global policies and works with non-UK tax teams to ensure appropriate technical application of tax law and interactions with tax authorities
Requirements
* In depth understanding and varied in-house experience of advising on employment taxes
* Experience of expat tax/share schemes/executive compensation related tax matters
* Proactively keeps up to date with employment tax developments
* Able to deal with multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
* CTA qualified or equivalent
* University degree 2:2 minimum
