Corporate Tax Manager Job, Scottish Independent CA Firm, Edinburgh or Dundee, £negotiable
Your new company
Hays is working with one of Scotland's leading Chartered Accountancy firms with offices across the country and over a century of experience. With experts in Accounts, Audit, Business Advice, Tax, VAT, Insolvency, Forensic Accounting and Corporate Finance services, the firm provides a comprehensive service to its clients and is committed to building and maintaining relationships. This has proven immensely successful, having formed a network made up of local, national and international connections, providing clients access to advice from across the world. As part of the firm's succession planning, it is looking to recruit a motivated Corporate Tax Manager with experience across compliance and advisory, with the view to progress over the short to medium term towards partnership.
Your new role
Reporting to and supporting the Tax Partners, the purpose of the role is to build and maintain relationships with clients and ensure the highest quality of service is provided, whilst managing more intricate Corporate Tax advisory assignments which will involve international complexities. In order to do so, you will manage your own diverse portfolio of tax clients, review work of more junior members, including compliance and technical letters, manage the billing process, and contribute to the growth and development of the Corporate Tax Team and wider business.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will be an experienced Corporate Tax professional with a proven track record within Public Practice or HMRC. You will ideally be CA, ATT or CTA qualified, and have knowledge of the tax implications for corporate groups and international issues. Working for a client-focused firm, you will equally be client driven and commercially astute. Tax planning involvement is advantageous. With potential partnership on the horizon, you will be pro-active, ambitious and able to communicate well with all levels.
What you'll get in return
In addition to a competitive salary and real progression opportunity, you will have 35 days holiday, pension scheme, life insurance (3x salary), and child care vouchers. Voluntary private medical is also available alongside various discounts. With a 35 hour week, the working hours are 9am to 5pm.
