Corporate Tax Accountant - Retailer - London

Our client is a Global retailer looking to hire a Corporate Tax expert in to their London team for a maternity cover (12 months).

Preparation of our clients July year end reporting and IRS income tax submissions, assisted by our local advisors based abroad

Transfer Pricing arrangements

Maintain the Tax Risk Register, including continual reviews and a formal annual review with the Senior Accounting Officer

CT Inc tax planning

Manage and review all other EU and ROW GST registrations and submissions

Investigate the tax regimes of potential new territories

Qualifications

 Qualified accountant/tax professional

 Strong technical experience, gained within a tax department, audit firm and/or financial accounting team
 Regular interaction with key internal and external stakeholders
 A broad appreciation of financial accounting areas such as UK GAAP, Tax and VAT.
 Demonstrate an aptitude to learn and quickly develop a deep understanding of new technical areas.
 You will be a strong communicator with key stakeholders both within and outside the finance department.
 You will be accurate, with an eye for detail. You will possess determination and tenacity to investigate the root cause of any issues
 Strong IT skills, particularly with Excel and an aptitude to interrogate the in-house ERP systems
