Hays is proud to be partnered with a Top 10 Chartered Accountancy firm operating across 5 offices in Scotland, to recruit for a Personal Tax Assistant Manager who would preferably be based in Glasgow. Your new role
Operating in a Tax Department of 30 and a medium-sized Private Client Team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 200 clients, including small to medium partnerships and HNWIs. You will also develop client relationships and review tax returns carried out by other members of the Team. As an Assistant Manager, you will assist junior staff with decision making, legislation, progression and development, and client meetings. Further to this, you will support Senior Management and Partners with advisory and planning work, and increasing the efficiency of the Department.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Personal Tax professional who has operated at Senior or Assistant Manager level within a Chartered Accountancy firm. Ideally, you will be ATT, CTA or ICAS qualified with a proven track record in respect to Private Client Tax. This role will involve a lot of client interaction, hence, you will be a confident communicator with the ability to manage relationships. A modern firm, the client is seeking a driven and forward-thinking Tax professional.

You will gain a competitive salary of between £30,000 and £40,000 depending upon your experience, in addition to a range of benefits.
