To be part of the tax team, ensuring that the Firm and the partners fulfil all global tax compliance obligations and deliver tax advice on business projects. You will have significant influence over all aspects of the Firm's global tax compliance and interaction with partners, the Chief Finance Officer, global finance teams and other business team functions.

Key responsibilities
UK Partnership Tax
Day to day management of the UK tax computations, Tax Returns and supporting allocations and other papers for the LLP and responding to HM Revenue & Customs enquiries on submitted computations.

Detailed day to day management of the members' tax reserves, including the related accounting and reconciliations to SAP.

Research and advise on UK tax related projects to support business initiatives. For example - the Making Tax Digital project.

International Tax
Manage the provision of information to third-party advisers for the preparation of Members', Nominal partners and Entity tax returns in some European countries (including France, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal and Luxembourg) on a timely basis; support responses to enquiries by tax authorities about partners' tax filings.

Preparation of current-year and clearing of prior-year reserves for the global tax liabilities of the Nominal partners in Western Europe; working with the Tax Accountant to prepare journals and reconcile tax reserve accounts in the General Ledger; preparing partner tax reserve statements and dealing with partners' queries on the tax reserves.

General responsibilities
Dealing with ad-hoc tax and partnership queries as they arise in the UK and some European offices. Helping on various internal and cross - functional/departmental projects.

Coaching junior team members in the above matters and delegating various tasks.

Key skills/experience
An excellent communicator, quick learner, self-starter, with the ability to work to deadlines, under pressure and without supervision, and a willingness to take on new work. Someone decisive, organised, calm, practical, who interacts well with people at all levels within the Firm. And someone that can react sensitively to staff issues, whilst remaining business focused.

Degree educated, with a tax or accounting qualification. An English speaker at the least, but French/German would enhance the incumbent's standing.

A minimum of 8 years practical tax experience, with exposure to:
* UK tax adjusted profit computations of medium sized or large businesses
* Partnership/LLP tax experience (for firms with greater than 50 partners/members) - partnership tax returns, tax reserves, partners' personal tax
* International tax issues affecting partnerships and LLPs

Strong Excel skills and experience using SAP preferred.
