People Services & Private Client Knowledge Sharing Assistant Manager/ Manager, London

A leading professional services firm are seeking an Assistant Manager or Manager to join their London Tax practice, focusing on knowledge sharing for the People Services and Private Client practices. This role would suit someone looking to move from a traditional tax role into one with more of a creative edge, enabling them to continue their technical development at the same time with the view of progressing into a more client-facing role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Producing written technical content, for both internal and external publications
- Monitoring external news sites for new developments and announcements relevant to People Services and Private Client tax, including tax policy and technical developments
- Drafting internal and external content for review under supervision, including headlines, technical content, policy, and commentary for internal and client use
- Liaising with internal teams to ensure content is submitted by the deadline
- Working with capability leads to identify and develop technical market opportunities, including risk governance processes
- Supporting responses to government consultations
- Researching new developments impacting the taxation of individuals
- Assisting client service teams with complex advisory matters
- Working with the L&D department to design and help deliver effective technical training to meet the Business' needs, helping to identify content from both a technical and risk perspective
- Attending technical meetings with the lead Knowledge Manager to write up notes and actions, then circulating and following up to completion

The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a relevant technical qualification (CTA/ACA/CA/ATT or equivalent)
- Have a keen interest in tax and the potential implications for the firm and its clients
- Enjoy researching and analysing tax law and cases, with guidance from more senior members of the team
- Be capable of understanding complex tax technical issues quickly, to a level where they can communicate them clearly to audiences of differing experience and expertise
- Be capable of working independently to deliver high quality work on time, seeking guidance when required
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills across a range of media, particularly being able to explain complex concepts in a straightforward manner
- Be positive and enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and promoting good communication
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
