Your new company
A vibrant and dynamic firm of Chartered Accountants and business advisers, with offices in Blackburn, Burnley and Bury, covering East Lancashire, Greater Manchester and beyond. This firm has ambitious growth plans and were recently placed 3rd in the 2016 Accountancy Age Top 10 UK Employers. Due to this growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced R&D specialist to join the tax team.

Your new role
As an R&D consultant you will be responsible for generating R&D tax credit assignments for the firm from both existing and new clients. You will promote the firm's R&D services via seminars and other business development activity and will work with portfolio holders to maximise the benefits from R&D tax credits for clients. You will Prepare R&D tax credit claims and reports and work closely with the corporate tax team.
You will also liaise with clients and HMRC as appropriate in order to agree claims.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be an experienced R&D adviser with a proven track record of successful R&D tax credit claims for clients. You will be proactive and a self-starter and ideally have experience of training more junior members of staff.

In return you will receive a competitive salary, dependent on experience and open to discussion, 28 days' holiday per annum + bank holidays (3.5 days to be used for the Christmas closedown) and on site free parking.
