This is a 3 day part-time role for a commercially minded Big 4 trained Corporate/International Tax Manager/Senior Manager. Perfectly suited to someone with future aspirations of being a FTSE100 Head of Tax.
This UK LSE Listed technology business has operations in four continents (Asia, Europe, North America and South America) and ambitious growth plans to increase revenue in the next few years. With a reputation for innovation and product development, this organisation has driven positive changes across the industry providing improved reliability to customers at a lower cost.
In this stand alone hands-on role, you will principally be responsible for leading Group tax strategy and managing the risk profile for the entire business. Furthermore, you will lead tax on transactions and manage negotiations with tax authorities around the world.
To be considered in this role, you will need to UK tax trained and ACA or CTA qualified. Your experience will include international tax, UK direct tax, indirect tax, and transfer pricing. Furthermore, you will ideally have (not essential) previous experience of working in-house.
Manager global tax and transfer pricing strategy
Manager global ETR and tax compliance
Minimise tax consequences of mergers, acquisitions and disposals
Minimise tax consequences of fundraising and financing activities
Management of all tax accounting to ensure, accurate and timely delivery within both Group and individual businesses for both management and statutory accounting purposes
Tax efficient repatriation of cash from overseas operations in line with BEPS
Review UK tax compliance across corporate tax, employment tax and VAT
Minimise customs, sales taxes, withholding and all other tax consequences of routine trading activities
Advise on tax consequences of employee remuneration and incentive schemes
Ensure compliance with all UK and overseas tax requirements.
Indirect responsibility for overseas staff carrying out all tax matters
Responsible for all external tax advice within the UK and overseas and management of related fees.
ACA or CTA qualified
UK Big 4 trained with over four years of post qualified experience
Corporate tax background with international exposure
Transfer pricing experience preferred
Full and up to date understanding required of IFRS Clear commercial understanding
Able to identify and communicate tax risks and opportunities in plain language
Able to work pragmatically in a fast paced environment.
