Fantastic Company Secretary role, 2 Days per week flexible working, Circa £40,000 FTE, Coventry SME.

Your new company
We are looking to recruit an experienced company secretarial professional, with strong understanding of company governance, legal, compliance and risk matters and offering secretarial and accounts support to a listed business. This newly created role is with an international, privately owned business. The head office, and this job, are based in Coventry, and other legal entities are across the world. You will be responsible for legal compliance, contract review and management of legal issues that may arise, whilst maintaining high standards of corporate governance.

Your new role
The key responsibility of this role will be supporting the Chairman in the effective and efficient provision of legal services, co-ordinating the production of papers and minutes, record-keeping, filing and ensuring that there is effective follow through on all relevant matters arising. You will be proactively troubleshooting and resolving issues which arise, appropriately handling correspondence and documentation, including financial reports and documentation of a sensitive or confidential nature using a high degree of discretion. You will be researching, prioritising and following up on incoming legal and regulatory issues. Advising on, and undertaking the execution of, documents and filings at Companies House.

Other duties include:

Developing and overseeing the systems that ensure the company complies with all applicable codes, in addition to its legal and statutory requirements.
Managing contractual arrangements with suppliers/customers.
Maintaining current awareness about company law.
Ensuring decisions made are communicated to the relevant company stakeholders.
Monitoring changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and taking appropriate action.
Liaising with external regulators and advisers, such as lawyers and auditors.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a degree in Business, Administration, Law or Accountancy. Ideally an ICSA member with advanced IT skills in PowerPoint, Word and Excel and ability to analyse and present materials clearly and concisely.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of circa £40,000 full time equivalent, 2 days per week flexible working, pension, life assurance, free parking and 25 days holiday per year pro rata'd.
