A longstanding, large and independent mid-tier firm with over 10 offices in the UK and 100 Tax employees, are partnered with Hays in order to recruit a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager for the Edinburgh office. From sole operators to major national companies, the firm tailor's its support to businesses whether they focus on domestic or international ambitions. The firm encourages and facilitates creative and innovative approaches to deliver the required results across Audit, Accounts, Payroll, Business Advisory & Solutions, Corporate Finance and Tax. In line with this, they have experienced growth and pursue novel operational approaches.

Your new role
The role of Corporate Tax Assistant Manager requires responsibility for your own portfolio of clients while supervising the work of more junior members, where you draft Tax provisions and returns for more complex clients. This will include planning compliance work, managing the process through to submission, coordinating Tax payments, reviewing complex compliance, and providing high level technical and Tax planning advice to clients. You will be involved in negotiations with HMRC, mentor, train and review Tax Seniors and Assistants, and liaise with the Client Service Team.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Tax professional with a good working knowledge of UK GAAP and UK Tax legislation developed across over three years using software systems. You will be ATT, CTA or CA qualified and be confident in client-facing activities, and meeting deadlines and budgets.
