Exciting opportunity to work as a Finance Manager within a registered charity for 6 Months
Your new company
Our client is an established charity here in Bath. Worldwide they have over 10,000 members. They are currently located in Bath, but will be moving to a new office located in Bristol by the end of 2018.
Your new role
As a Finance Manager you will be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. This role is a 6 month fixed term contract with the possibility of being extended. You will be required to manage financial affairs of the businesses ensuring proper financial compliance. You must be able to ensure financial systems and financial working practises are kept up-to-date.
Your duties will include;
* Prepare an annual budget with department managers
* Ensure that expenditure is maintained
* Prepare quarterly VAT returns for the whole organisation
* Manage the payroll function
* Maintain records of investments
* Deal with all correspondence relating to financial matters
* Manage the Finance Assistant
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be able to carry out the full duties stated above. You will also require at least 3 years' experience in a similar role. Experience using Sage (the ability create bespoke reporting directly from Sage) and have exemplary Excel skills. Finance qualifications are desirable however proven experience in similar role will be considered.
